Stopped by the legendary McCobb’s today (Since 1940 ) for their Texas Weiners. They did not disappoint. The German Schmaltz hot dogs were delicious and had the perfect snap. Their famous tomato based Texas Weiner sauce was the perfect complement and is available jarred to take home. Save room for their delicious homemade ice cream. There is a very pleasant outdoor seating area along the river to enjoy. Check out McCobb’s, you’ll be glad you did!

I had the pleasure of coming here and meeting one of the owners Dino (Dean) who just made our day and gave us special V.I.P treatment due to the place being open seasonally lol oh boy it was such a sweet gesture after the long day in and out of the car. The Ice cream is homemade along with the people who keep this place running. Will be back mid November!

This place is awesome! The food is always fresh, and the service is amazing. I'll definitely be coming back. The place is super clean, and the outside patio by the river is beautiful and well-maintained.

Enjoyed the Texas Weiners at @mccobbsfamilyrestaurant in #Wayne, #NJ on their last night of the season in January 2024. Don't worry, they always come back in the spring! Here they serve up a unique preparation of Texas Weiner (celery mixed in with the white onions), and the chili sauce is darn tasty. I took some to go home. Owner Dean Mamakos (working here since 1966 when he started at 13 years old) boasts that the chili sauce has 26 spices, all combining into a delicious condiment to top their 7:1 deep fried beef and pork hot dogs. Dean told us the brand of hot dog, but he asked us to keep it under wraps because his competition all wants to know! Believe me when I say that it's not the usual in these parts, and it's a high quality frank. My lips are sealed #INeverSausageaHotDog

Amazing tomato based sauce. Do had solid snap to it. The guy who runs the place, Dean, knows more about hot dogs than I ever will. Price is so worth it.

Been coming here with my family members since I was a young! The owners are the best! Prices are fair for the great quality of food you receive ! The sauce is the best around! Try the small cheeseburger with Taylor ham and add sauce to it.. you can thank me later .
